![]() ![]() To all intents and pusposes the population of Zwift is much smaller than that as far as the player goes, because Zwift only shows a maximum of 100 riders on screen IIRC.īut the reason I compare it more to a driving game than an actual MMORPG is that I feel that’s more waht Zwift boils down to. Has upwards of 8000 people on the same circuit at the same time And that might be enough for you, if you have the Companion or a head unit to use instead. There is a hack to hide the entire UI though. If they could do a Lua or Javascript-based UI system so we could modify it (and share our mods), I’l love it!īut is the UI complex enough to warrant the development effort? That I’m not convinced of. ![]() Move them around, make it show my W/kg bigger etc. Sure, I absolutely would love to be able to customise it and turn off various elements. It’s an enormous amount of information and having the UI system thay have is absolutely a beneft. I mean, in WoW you’ve got XP, current health, mana/stam/rage, spell bars, utility bars, pet bars, damage dealt, damage taken, heath received, current spell cast time, debufs affecting you, debuffs affecting the target, buffs affecting you, buffs affecting the target, possible party frames or raid frames, all sorts of other timers, maps, etc. ![]() There are far fewer potentially interesting pieces of data to track or put on screen. And they tend not to have cusomisable UIs. I know that Camelot Unchained are doing something that’s Javascript-based too.īut Zwift is more of a “driving game” than an MMORPG. WoW is the go-to example here with its super-customisable Lua-based UI. I participated in the beta, but wasn't really excited about it after that.Yes, but as with complicated MMO games (which zwift definitely is) all UI elements are customizable and users have the ability to turn each UI element on/off to suit their own personal requirements. Same dude is going to make another game, similar idea, but instead of 30 or so people in a single battle, it can support thousands. Camelot Unchained is an Arthurian fantasy MMORPG from City State Entertainment and Mark Jacobs, founder of Mythic Entertainment and known for his development of Dark Age of Camelot. I enjoyed the idea of DAOC, maybe playing the beta soured me to the game, anyway, it's interesting from a technical perspective, but I think there are a few problems when you have so many people in a single event.ġ. Boons for Camelot Unchained are located on this page. how do you balance everything? One of the problems with DAOC (and with any MMORPG that has 'teams') is that you inevitably end up with one side having more players. Camelot Unchained is a counter-revolutionary RvR-focused MMORPG from Mark Jacobs and CSE set in a post-apocalyptic yet familiar. as an example, DAOC had 3x as many in the popular faction as the others. We really appreciate it As a backer of Camelot Unchained, you get ACCESS TO OUR BACKERS ONLY GENERAL FORUMS, AN OFFICIAL THANK YOU from all of us at CSE, and our newsletter. Mark stopped logging into Camelot Unchained forums for months already and last. having played WOW and enjoyed more than a few runs through AV, it's just silly random crap, and that's 'only' 40 players a side. The official forum refund with pages upon pages of requests. ![]()
